Advocacy & Policymaking
Advocacy & Policymaking
We invite policy documents from academicians, researchers, practitioners, and civil servants. Advocacy often plays a crucial role in the policy-making process as advocates work to influence policy decisions by building public support and engaging with decision-makers. This can involve lobbying government officials, mobilising communities, conducting research, and utilising two way communication network to disseminate ideas .
ISHAD aims to intervene in Policy making, and collaborate with government and organisations which are involved in policy formulation and its implementation. It attempts to formulate and adopt policies, rules, or regulations to address specific issues or challenges. It aims to involve several stages, including problem identification, research and analysis, policy formulation, decision-making, implementation, and evaluation. Hence, the goal of policy advocacy is to educate and persuade decision-makers. It aims to sway those with formal authority to affect change.
